We look back with great pleasure on a successful MLE Summer School 2022 and would like to thank all lecturers and participants for the positive outcome.
We have less than two weeks until the start of the Summer School and currently over 150 registered participants - looking forward to seeing you all!
Please check out the latest updates below and on this website, as there were some last minute updates and changes in the rooms.
On the 14th September 2022 4 PM we invite you to the event "mAI-tAI-Mixer - meet AI & talk AI“. At this event there will be 15 companies that will represent themselves and are eager to get to know you. For this event we will invite you to free drinks and free dinner. However, we do not want to waste food. Therefore, it is mandatory to order your dinner before (otherwise you can participate but without free food).
Please check your emails and respond to the food choices!
Poster boards will be marked with names. Please attach your poster to the designated wall during lunch break on the 13th and remove them after the second poster session. All posters that are not removed will be trashed at the end of the event.
If a presentation is planned for the Elevator Pitches, PDF and PPT are required. Please send them in advance, latest 24:00 on September 12 to benjamin.boll@tuhh.de
Without PPT or PDF, no participation in the pitches is possible, and therefore, no chance of winning a prize! No USB sticks on the event are possible and own technology cannot be used.
IMPORTANT: There is no time extension! Please keep to the time, because after 2 min, the plug will definitely be pulled.
Please bring your own laptop to make full use of hands-on sessions. For more details and possible prerequisites, please check the website of the corresponding hands-on session.
The MLE Summer School is now also present on LinkedIn, so that participants (as well as presenters) can network and exchange contact information there:

The second day starts with a key note discussing a new trend in ML called federated machine learning. It is about training systems across multiple independent decentralized devices. This approach comes with several benefits such as increased data privacy. Prof. Stefan Schulte is heading the institute of Data Engineering at TUHH. His research is located at the crossroad of data engineering and distributed systems, with a particular focus on federated learning.
The first keynote speaker of the MLE Summer School is Prof. Christoph Ihl with the title of the talk: The Business & Economics of AI Startups
The MLE School website is online as of today. More content will be available in the next few days.
